GEMC Media Group was founded in 2017 by Steve Charles and Froebel McSimon. Its signature event, Praise On Water, launched in 2018 aboard the Golden Sunshine, featuring Sherwin Gardner, Emrand Henry, Sean Daniel, Rev. Nicole Ballosingh-Holder, and DJ Blessment.

The event moved to the larger Liberty Belle in 2019 and went virtual during the pandemic in 2020. Following a pause in 2021, Praise on Water resumed in 2022 and continues into 2026, bringing people together through gospel music, worship, and fellowship.

We gratefully acknowledge W107.1FM for its support and honor the memory of the late Jamie Thomas. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the many churches and faithful supporters whose continued encouragement and commitment have sustained Praise on Water throughout these eight years. Your support has been instrumental in the success of each boat ride and the creation of meaningful relationships.
